Task
One of the biggest challenges while working on the Mombasa Dishes website was creating a design that balanced modern aesthetics with the authentic coastal identity of the brand. The goal was to make the website visually appealing while still maintaining the warm and cultural feel associated with Swahili cuisine and the Mombasa dining experience. Another challenge was optimizing the food images and layout for mobile devices without affecting loading speed or user experience. Since food presentation played a major role in the website, careful attention was needed to ensure the visuals remained high quality while keeping the website fast and responsive across different screen sizes. To overcome these challenges, a clean design system, optimized media assets, and responsive development techniques were used to create a smooth and engaging browsing experience for users.
